Caring for a wave brush is a bit different compared to a synthetic hair brush. A wave brush has 100% boar bristles for one and is only found online for the most part. Wave brushes are also created with higher quality so they are more expensive. To protect the wave brush and extend its life you should clean the brush once every two months. You can do this by taking a comb and running it through the bristles of the brush gently over a bathroom sink. This will get the loose hairs and debris out of the brush. You must not completely submerge the brush in water. Cleaning it this way could ruin the paint and color. It is important to rinse the debris and product residue out of the brush It is okay for the brush's bristles to get wet. Most wave brush's bristles shed because it is made out of actual boar bristles.
